At Marilyn’s Lifelong Educational Center (MLLEC) children learn through hands on explorations, daily interactions  and guidance within a natural family-like environment. Planned hands on explorations are implemented by our teachers and designed to help children learn life skills and gain an academic advantage. Interactions are either planned or qualify as friendly visits with our elder friends throughout Birchaven Retirement Village.

MLLEC is state licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services to serve children ages six weeks to 5 years of age. The center is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 5:45am until 6:00pm. Part of what makes this center so special is the relationships developed between children and elders. The staff is cross-trained to work with the children and elders, helping to develop relationships and facilitate the types of activities that encourage this to happen.

Please feel free to contact the center for additional information or to schedule a tour.
